Sometimes in life there are really bonds that are formed that cannot be broken no matter what. Sometimes you really can’t find that person that will stand by us all along the way. Maybe we can find that person in a spouse and celebrate with that person in our dream wedding. Maybe that person, ironically, is our enemy. Or it can be a friend. It can the person sitting beside you in a bus.

But there is also the chance that the person that you can count on your entire life is the person that knows you and sometimes know you better than yourself is the one that will stand beside all the way in your entire life.

Each and everyone of us has his/her own special someone that will come into his/her life. It may not be a spouse but it can be a friend or a sibling or a niece or nephew. But we, people, should know how to wait for the right time.

Just the Right Thing

Who does not know the name MAVIEL GONZALES? I think all Jamers knew who this lady is. Batch 2006 Valedictorian, Editor-in-Chief of VOX and finalist in Top Ten Outstanding Student Season 2. A perfect example of a “beauty-and-brain lady” not only that but “talented” as well.

We can say that this young lady is the perfect model to the youth. Responsible student, stretches her duties and does more than is expected for to do, bursting with talents to be proud of and does not only excels in academic area but in extra-curricular activities as well. Everything you are looking for a perfect paradigm is all she takes. She is the person that the country needs.

But can we have another Maviel Gonzales?

Well, I certainly hope that no one will answer a big no-no because we can have another Maviel. Anybody can be another Maviel that will help our homeland escalate from it’s downfall in the mud. If we can only be just like her, to become a very responsible student, to give the very best that we can, not the second best but the very best in all things we do, to never lose self-esteem and self-confidence, to learn how to balance time, to be active in extra-cellular activities and academic field and other simple way that starts within ourselves. We can never be “real-Maviel-thingy” but what I was trying to stress is step by step learn how to be another Maviel, meaning adopt her habits as a student that might help us in our studies and to be good citizens as well. Simply put, if Maviel can do it, I can also do it! The youth is said to be the future, so they say and even Gat Jose Rizal had said : ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.
