DO YOUR PART

As urbanization arose in the metropolis, the risk of living in an unhygienic world also arose. The possibility of having malady of any kind particularly respiratory diseases is great, for air pollution is a widespread already. It is the effect of all the obliviousness of people when it comes to taking-care-of-nature-thing.

With these serious and dangerous effects who do we expect to be blamed? The government? The drivers? Well, the answer is all of us is to be blamed. No exception. We cannot blame a taxi driver alone, or a bus driver alone; we cannot blame the government, for they have done their part. You are to be blamed. I am to be blamed.

I believe that the youth has supposedly have something to say regarding this particular matter. It is being discussed inside the school, so we should be the ones acting and putting the lessons into action and applying it because we have the been thought and we are aware of it. I am not saying that the older generation will not act for nature, all I wanted to say is that we, youth, has the ample knowledge regarding the matter than anyone else, so we should know our part and do it. It may be a simple act of keeping of a candy wrapper inside your pocket or not using a straw when drinking a soft drinks but it is a great help for mother earth.

Do our part and know our responsibilities. We and the future generation will be the ones who will be benefiting from its outcome.

Acting for Mother Nature is like a balancing from a wire attached from a two-high posts. It should be done with care and proper strategies. One step at a time. Every step is crucial. One mere wrong step can be very costly.

Do your part!

Screenplay: Who?

Sometimes in life there are really bonds that are formed that cannot be broken no matter what. Sometimes you really can’t find that person that will stand by us all along the way. Maybe we can find that person in a spouse and celebrate with that person in our dream wedding. Maybe that person, ironically, is our enemy. Or it can be a friend. It can the person sitting beside you in a bus.

But there is also the chance that the person that you can count on your entire life is the person that knows you and sometimes know you better than yourself is the one that will stand beside all the way in your entire life.

Each and everyone of us has his/her own special someone that will come into his/her life. It may not be a spouse but it can be a friend or a sibling or a niece or nephew. But we, people, should know how to wait for the right time.

Just the Right Thing

Who does not know the name MAVIEL GONZALES? I think all Jamers knew who this lady is. Batch 2006 Valedictorian, Editor-in-Chief of VOX and finalist in Top Ten Outstanding Student Season 2. A perfect example of a “beauty-and-brain lady” not only that but “talented” as well.

We can say that this young lady is the perfect model to the youth. Responsible student, stretches her duties and does more than is expected for to do, bursting with talents to be proud of and does not only excels in academic area but in extra-curricular activities as well. Everything you are looking for a perfect paradigm is all she takes. She is the person that the country needs.

But can we have another Maviel Gonzales?

Well, I certainly hope that no one will answer a big no-no because we can have another Maviel. Anybody can be another Maviel that will help our homeland escalate from it’s downfall in the mud. If we can only be just like her, to become a very responsible student, to give the very best that we can, not the second best but the very best in all things we do, to never lose self-esteem and self-confidence, to learn how to balance time, to be active in extra-cellular activities and academic field and other simple way that starts within ourselves. We can never be “real-Maviel-thingy” but what I was trying to stress is step by step learn how to be another Maviel, meaning adopt her habits as a student that might help us in our studies and to be good citizens as well. Simply put, if Maviel can do it, I can also do it! The youth is said to be the future, so they say and even Gat Jose Rizal had said : ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.

writer-slash-journalist-slash-blogger

From my debut blog which is “Ink Stain in My Paper”, I have jotted there that there was a point in my life that I abhor writing. I can’t believe that from a simple-school-publication everything has changed. From then on, I already started to have a taste in writing and eventually be infatuated in this “hobby”.

From the simplest idea inside my head to the intricate contemplation that I have created, I make sure that I have created some kind of an article or put it into writing.

Anyways, the reason why I was so infatuated in writing is that it was a therapy for my stressed-mind. I can unload all the heavy thoughts that was stocked inside my petite mind because my mind can’t take so-much-more-of-absorbing-things. And only in writing I can speak up for myself without arguing with other regarding on my beliefs and stands -just like this one. :)

Bugging Ideas

This past few days, there are countless ideas that keeps bugging inside my turmoil mind. A lot of new ideas that I am supposedly publishing here. But the thing is, when I open my laptop, I usually ended up surfing the net and getting ideas from the headlines and wasting my laptop’s charge/battery. The irony thing is I really, really have lots of ideas that keeps bugging my head and I really, really love to share it with you…

TEXT MESSAGE

“Minsan palpak ang buhay, unfair, malungkot, talo or sablay. Minsan nga bagyo at maulan pa. Pero kahit ganun, dapat rise and shine pa rin ang drama. May kakapitan naman e… Lakas ng loob, tiwala sa sarili at pananalig kay Pareng God. Malay mo, ginu-good time ka lang nya para minsan maki-jamming ka sa kanya. Malay mo ibibigay na nya yung matagal mo nang hinihilinh at si Destiny… (yipee!) Kaya dapat kahit maasim ang buhay, put some sugar to make it sweet from a bitter and salty day… (altight)”

This text message was sent to me early this morning by a friend. At first, this text message just look like an ordinary message of inspiration. But if we look deeper into it and dissect it, we may extend the meaning of the message.

“Minsan palpak ang buhay, unfair, malungkot, talo or sablay. Minsan nga bagyo at maulan pa.“ Life always comes with suffering and sadness. A person cannot live in happiness alone or cannot live in sufferings and sadness alone also. Life if balanced, often said.

“Pero kahit ganun, dapat rise and shine pa rin ang drama. May kakapitan naman e… Lakas ng loob, tiwala sa sarili at pananalig kay Pareng God.” Life may not be as wonderful as we want and may have lots of unwanted things to come or happenings, we should not lose hope. We can survive this if we have the courage to face every problem, believing in yourself and most important to always call God because in Him everything is possible.

“Malay mo, ginu-good time ka lang nya para minsan maki-jamming ka sa kanya.” All the unwanted things and sufferings are all challenges given to us by God to measure on how far we can go with the flow and how strong our faith is.

“Malay mo ibibigay na nya yung matagal mo nang hinihiling at si Destiny… (yipee!)” He will give to us our greatest desire in our life will be we have strong faith in Him and believe that He will grant us what we want in life.

Kaya dapat kahit maasim ang buhay, put some sugar to make it sweet from a bitter and salty day… (altight)” Don’t be reason of your own downfall in life just because you can’t take the “unwanted things” in your life anymore and can’t survive but instaed take it as a challenge. Just lessen your negativity in life and think of positive thing that will eventually be reason of you success.

THROUGH IT ALL!

In this day and age, we live on a life that is hard to face. We live on a world where it suffers from global crisis. Every poor nation becomes poorer. Deprived families became even more deprived to live. It seems that this world is only for the supreme and powerful and meager doesn’t have. The face of the earth seems to be struggling.

Through it all, are we still be strong?

I think and we should be!

Through all these episodic-true-to-life catastrophe, sometimes we want and we tend to run away, trying to escape from this irritating life. But just imagine life without all these trials. Do you think we can be as strong as we are now? I think not!
If your havoc mind keeps telling you’ve had enough of all these problems but your heart keeps telling don’t give up! Who are we to be questioning Him! Do you think God will give us such problems that we cant handle? It’s a big no-no! Things will get better if you believe in Him.

Don’t be a prisoner of the past. Past is past. Move on. Yesterday is never today. From all the not-so-good fateful, we should take it as a lesson to never repeat that or to know what to do. If you fall just stand up again, learn from it and live your life again! Let your heart be your guide and let Him be your guide.

I ponder that the perfect formula to pass all these obstacles is strong faith plus perseverance plus your heart’s conviction plus a little wit, we can surely pass all the problems that we have. If we us this formula things will get better.

Don’t give up! You got it within yourself! Just try to find it inside yourself and surely in no time you will be surpassing your problem!

Through it all just stand up!

ONLY YOU CAN CHOOSE

We can associate life with sundry mere things that we can never imagine, not even in our wildest dreams can be associated to but it is possible that we can match up to our life with these mere life.

Life is like a box full of chocolate. You’ll never know what sweet treat might come next to meet in your mouth for the next big scene, connoted by one of my colleagues -Kristelle. Indeed, life is full of surprises. Expect the unexpected, so they say. We may not meet what we are expecting and we may meet the things that we don’t expect to happen but the choice of choosing what is best for us is within ourselves. We are the only ones who can tell what will be our fate in the ensuing imminent future.

We are the ones who are painting the wall that signifies our life. We are the ones who paint black in our wall, the red, the green, the blue to mention few. The more colors we paint in the wall, the more our life will be meaningful. There may have been some perquisites but we must never be abuse these perquisites, but instead be just be thankful.
Life is can be as funny as a comedy films maybe, or can be as enchanting as a fairytale movies can be or can be as dreadful as a horror and suspense movie, or can be as lovely as a love-story movie can be or can be as gloomy as a drama movie. Life is a silver screen in a making. All the “genre” that we’re mentioned above are all part of our mere life that makes it complete before ending, and that ending lies among us, we may choose have a happy-ending story or a wrecked-ending story.

Life is a paradox. It is full of contradicting things that happens everyday that we might not be aware of. Choose wisely are the words of the game. Be painstaking in making decisions. We are the ones whom we are going to benefit in the end if we follow this only rule in life. We are the ones is will be responsible for every decisions we make. Have off pat that we make decisions to make our life more colorful not to wreck our life.

untitled

"I was in point of fact swamped in amity and was clear-fell by it’s grandiose supremacy. I was not able to mull over of my part. I didn’t leftward a single spec of ardor for myself. Not fathoming, I am already downing myself and obliterating my imminent and so my dear existence. After lengthy stint of discerning, I turn up to a verdict that I must take up and bequeath myself one more venture to hold dear myself. And cry that life must carry on whatever complications may happen.""

ON OUR WAY TO SUCCESS

Revival - renewal of interest
Development - event causing change
Potential - possible but as yet not actual
Breakout - forceful escape
Determination - firmness of purpose
Purpose - reason of existence
Retribution - punishment/vengeance
Pressure - constant state of worry and urgency

The road to success is very bristly. No one can pass it very easily. A lot of effort should be exerted before heading toward to our goal. It will be painful before being successful. It requires a lot of hardwork before victory. It will take frustration before triumph. Along the very rough road, we can be injured, we can be bruised, and we can be crushed.

Before we really run to the road of success, we should really know the PURPOSE of our odyssey towards success because if it remains vague to us, it will be the reason for our downfall.

There may be a point in one’s life that we can get tired of achieving our goals because of all the consequences but we should never lose hope and don’t be afraid to REVIVE the spirit of achieving your goal inside you.

Along the road, we are going to encounter different obstacles that will stop us from reaching our goals but as we encounter these obstacles surely, we have something to be learned that will lead us our DEVELOPMENT.

Aside from achieving our goals, we may [unknowingly] discover new things upon oneself that might help us in achieving and we will see that we have the POTENTIAL to survive. but it can also be the reason of our failure.

Apart from discovering new things, meeting those obstacles may help us to really know ourselves. It will help us to know our strengths as well as our weaknesses and be able to BREAK-OUT to these weaknesses that doesn’t help in reaching what we want.

Strive harder to reach the goalpost by not looking on how far more we should run but on the strength of our DETERMINATION, we can measure how near we are to our goalpost no matter how small we are and how big our dreams are.

Don’t look yourself very small because you are just starting you way to success and look up at others because they are headed because it we will just be PRESSURED and that will also lead to our failure.

We may fall down due to some circumstances but never lose hope and stand up again with pride and be proud of your bruises because it will be the marks of all your hardships and go on. If we succeed, it will serve as the RETRIBUTION to all those who wish for our failure.

But most of all the most important thing is the YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, surely you will be the most successful person.

THE CYCLE

Do you believe that people around us have different perspectives in their lives or you believe that we have one common perspective why we are living?

I say that I believe that each and everyone of us have different perspectives in our life but have a common purpose.

In this ambitious and ferocious world where we are living into, we meet different kinds of people. From the simplest person who exudes simplicity to the most sophisticated who executes glamour. From the vilest who only wants a food to fill in their crumbling stomachs to the affluent person who wants everything even eternity, from all walks of life, so they say.

From these people we choose who are we going to accept as our friends, who we are going to love, and who we are going to hate. We choose them because we have our own reason, maybe a personal one, or is required to do so, or just you want to.

We can never say when life can give the best and when it will give the worst. Irony things may occur. The people we choose to accept and to love whom give out the best in us maybe also give us the most hurting memories that we don’t want to remember forever and the persons whom we chose to hate can possibly the ones who can heal the wounds that were created by the ones we choose love although we know that time can only heal the wounds that is inside.

I think that’s the reason why we exist. To choose. To love. To hate. To be loved. To be hated. To be wounded. And to stand-up again. And we choose, love, being loved, being hated, getting wounded and standing-up again and we do it again and again and again. I think that’s the cycle. It has something to do with the relationship we build around the people around us.

inkSTAINonMYpaper

WRITING bores me a lot. It is hard for me to do such “novel-length” reports or even a very short articles.
Way back when I was in Grade School, we have this subject -Writing (which is under the Makabayan subject),
wherein we have to compose an article to be submitted on the same day (we are lucky if she will allow us to submit
it next week). When our teacher’s foot already stepped-inside the classroom, my heart starts to palpitate. Really,
I don’t have passion in writing in those days. I think when I was about to graduate elementary I think I am the most
happiest person in the world -not just because we are about to graduate but I am bidding my good-byes to the subject
that I hate most -Writing.

I thought that this “writing-thingy” would stop haunting me when I graduate GS, but I was wrong.

It all started when I entered High School when the first issue of the VOX (official newspaper of the HS) was released.
As usual I read the columns that only gets my attention. After reading ALMOST the whole newspaper, I think my world
changed 360-degrees. I get a piece of paper and started to scribble my thoughts. And I was mesmerized on how I easily
jotted my thought inside my head. And the irony thing is that I even tried to join the VOX but unfortunately I was not
able to qualify. Well, I just thought that I am not still prepared to be part of it. Maybe next time will be my time.

My fervor and infatuation in writing strengthen when I became a sophomore (this year).
My classmates encouraged me to continue writing, scribbling and critiquing.

And would you believe that I will be once again trying my luck to enter the VOX and when I graduate, try my luck to enter
what I am craving for -the VARSITARIAN, which broad-thinkers and broad-minded persons will be by criticizing my work.

It feels weird that there is a point in my life that I really regret writing and now bessoted in writing
so here I am writing this critique.
